Kenny’s K9 was founded in 2017 in MacGregor, Manitoba, with a steadfast mission: to provide calm, professional, one-on-one grooming for pets who deserve a luxury experience—without the rush.

Kennedy brings 13 years of grooming experience, including nearly a decade of owning and operating her business. As a certified groomer with the Canadian Professional Pet Stylist Association (CPPS), she combines her confidence from extensive experience with ongoing learning and a true love for animals in every appointment.

As a female Métis business owner, Kennedy values community, kindness, and giving back. She has not only managed her own successful grooming business but has also trained and inspired aspiring groomers, teaching them everything from hands-on grooming techniques to the behind-the-scenes aspects of running a pet business. Her mentorship has helped many grow into successful pet grooming professionals.

Since Kenny’s launch, we've expanded our offerings over the years to include dog training classes, “Paint Your Pet” workshops, pet first aid classes, trick training sessions, dog acting classes, and even a dog daycare service. We also introduced innovative therapies like Celluma red light therapy, enhancing the well-being of our furry clients.

Kennedy remains actively involved in her community as a volunteer with the Saint John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program, where she serves as an evaluator. After the birth of her son, she made the decision to focus on family by closing the Portage location and dedicating her efforts to the continued success of Kenny’s K9 in MacGregor.

We’re proud of where we’ve been and excited for what’s next. As we transition into 2026, we’re streamlining our services and returning to our roots: focused, quiet, reliable grooming in a small-town setting.
